EVENT DESCRIPTION
The course, which will be located at the Northeastern Institute of Cannabis 10 Tech Cir, Natick, MA 01760, begins at 5 PM and lasts until 8 PM on Friday, June 23 2017, with registration beginning at 4 PM. The accredited training on June 24, 2017 begins at 9 AM and lasts until 5 PM. Attendees should arrive by 8 AM in order to register.
This activity is jointly provided by Medical Education Resources and Healthway Education Systems, and has been approved to provide participants with 6 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM, which can be used to satisfy the annual license renewal requirements that medical professionals have.
Advisor Mark Mersman will be speaking at the Cannabis 101 event on June 23, providing information on medical cannabis fundamentals. Mark is joining the Heathway team in the capacity of strategic advisor. As a serial entrepreneur, Mark has led several teams through the start-up phase and brings 10 years of experience in operations and finance.
The seminar on June 24 will feature medical professional Dr. Gregory Smith, MD. Smith is widely acclaimed throughout the medical cannabis industry for the publication of one of the field’s first medical textbooks that has been peer-reviewed, called “Medical Cannabis, Basic Science & Clinical Applications.” Dr. Smith’s expansive 30-year career, half of which was spent working in California, has provided him with extensive insight on the medical cannabis industry. Dr. Gregory Smith’s knowledge of medical cannabis and its properties will serve as a fantastic primary resource for those who attend Healthway Education’s event in Puerto Rico.
Dr. Kevin F. Smith, who has enjoyed a wide and varied career both on the domestic and international levels, will also be speaking at the event. His Occupational Medicine specialty him constantly busy in both private practice, as well as large Hospital groups and large organizations, due to the somewhat limited availability of specialists in this field. As a Board-Certified physician, his 30+ years’ experience has seen his broad skillset coalesce into sought-after expertise.
